LURA G. MEDLIN

ADVANCE -- Lura Geneva Medlin, 86, of Advance, died Wednesday, May 6, 1992, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 23, 1906, at Bloomfield, daughter of John and Mary Bell Pritchett. She married George Medlin July 26, 1924, at Benton. He died Oct. 18, 1978.

Medlin was a member of Union Grove General Baptist Church near Swinton.

Survivors include two sons, Orville Medlin of Cape Girardeau, Leeman Medlin of Scott City; four daughters, Erma Ireland of Vienna, Georgia Willen of Chesterfield, Lorene Garner of Advance, Pam Keeton of Lone Grove, Okla.; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, a daughter, granddaughter, three brothers and 10 sisters.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Earl Reinhart will officiate, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-9 p.m. today.
