Lula Novella Corn, 90, of Scott City died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. She was born Jan. 7, 1912, in Swinton, Mo., daughter of the late Melton John and Lilly Bell Moore Phillips. On Sept. 7, 1933, she married Youal Edna Corn. He preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1962...

Lula Novella Corn, 90, of Scott City died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Jan. 7, 1912, in Swinton, Mo., daughter of the late Melton John and Lilly Bell Moore Phillips. On Sept. 7, 1933, she married Youal Edna Corn. He preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1962.

She had been employed as a seamstress with Ely Walker Company in Scott City.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Harty of Melrose, Iowa and Youal Ray Corn of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Carol Coulter of Scott City; three sisters, Violet Hawkins of Amarillo, Texas, Flora Winchester of Cairo, Ill., and Delores Walker of Alton, Ill.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons; four brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Larry Lacey officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
