Luella Lawrence

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Luella C. Lawrence, 94, of Advance passed away July 9, 2016, at the Advance Nursing Center in Advance. She was born April 13, 1922, in Stoddard County, Missouri, the daughter of A.J. and Dovie Mark Coomer.

Luella had been a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was a good sister, aunt and cook.

Luella and James Franklin Lawrence were united in marriage July 29, 1939, at Benton, Missouri, and he preceded her in death May 27, 1997.

Survivors include a sister, Evelyn Schallon of Imperial, Missouri; nieces; nephews; cousin; and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; seven brothers; and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, with the Rev. Eric Shrum officiating.

Burial will follow at Baker Cemetery at Marble Hill, Missouri.
