OAK RIDGE -- Luella A. Foster, 72, of Oak Ridge died Friday, May 12, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 21, 1927, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles and Elfreida Umbeck Wilkening. She and Harry E. Foster were married June 8, 1947, at Old Appleton. He died May 20, 1988...

OAK RIDGE -- Luella A. Foster, 72, of Oak Ridge died Friday, May 12, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 21, 1927, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles and Elfreida Umbeck Wilkening. She and Harry E. Foster were married June 8, 1947, at Old Appleton. He died May 20, 1988.

She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in education, taught school and later owned Lu & Company Antiques. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Old Appleton.

Survivors include one son, Patrick W. Foster of Oak Ridge; three daughters, Betsy Rigdon and Maggie Buhs of Cape Girardeau and Chris York of St. Louis; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

Friends may call at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Janet Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Old Appleton.
