LUCY LITTLE

MOREHOUSE -- Lucy Little, 100, of Morehouse died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born April 25, 1897, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of Bill and Maggie Sleigh Woods. She and Claude A. Little were married Jan. 28, 1915. He died Oct. 8, 1976.

Formerly of Parma and Lavalle, she had lived at Morehouse the past 40 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Beulah Fitzgerald of Middlebrook, Mary Hicks of Florissant, Velva Hankins of Morehouse; four sons, Louis Little of Anniston, Calvert Little of Puxico, Leo Little of East Prairie, Troy Little of Morehouse; a brother, Charlie Woods of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Etta Fink of Blytheville, Ark.; 34 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doyle Corlew officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery near Essex.
