WILSON CITY -- Lucy Baker Fields, 93, of Wilson City, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Dec. 15, 1899, in Osceola, Ark., daughter of Charlie and Mary Jackson Steele. She married Henry Clay Baker Fields in January 1919. He died in 1976.

Fields was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church at Wyatt, and served on the Mother's Board.

Survivors include three sons, James Baker of Michigan City, Ind., Walter Baker of Chicago, Elmer Baker of Warrenville Heights, Ohio; a daughter, Bessie Banks of Milwaukee, Wis.; two brothers, Walter and Charles Steele of St. Louis; five sisters, Georgia Scott, Ernestine Thomas, Dorothy Gibson, Jean Fowler and Mildred Arnold of Milwaukee; 25 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at noon Saturday at Holly Grove Church. Elder Steve Betts and the Rev. T.R. Tyus will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Sparks Funeral Home at Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
