BREWER, Mo. -- Lucille A. Ratcliff, 95, of Brewer died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Perryville, Mo.
She was born May 9, 1916, at Kaskaskia Island, Ill., daughter of Roy and Millie Layton Picou. She and Louis J. Ratcliff were married June 11, 1934. He preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1984.
Mrs. Ratcliff had worked as a seamstress at International Shoe Co. She also worked at Ewald's and had been a cook at Park-Et. She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer. She was a devoted grandmother and loved to play bingo.
Survivors include a sister, Madeline Thomure of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers, two sisters, three sons and a daughter.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ the Savior Church, with the Rev. Bill Rhinehart officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in St. Mary, Mo.
Memorials are preferred to Christ the Savior Catholic Church.
