CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Service will be held Saturday for Lucille M. Murphy, 83, of Cape Girardeau. She died Thursday, March 7, 1991, at the home of her cousin in Kelso.
She was born Aug. 15, 1907, to George and Edith Witt LeGrand.
In 1960, she married Harold C. Murphy in St. Louis. He proceeded her in death on March 24, 1980.
She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
She was past-president of the American Legion of Mary, the Cathedral Ladies of St. Mary's and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was employed at J.J. Newberry's in Cape Girardeau for 13 years.
She is survived by several cousins. Proceeding her in death was one sister.
Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at the Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. followed by Parrish Prayers at 7:30 p.m.
Service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral. Burial will follow at the St. Mary's Cemetery.
