SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Inez Lucille Hill, 87, of Springfield, formally of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, May 18, 2018, at Mercy Hospital.

She was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Wittenberg, Missouri, to James Edward King and Viola Marie Hardy. She and Fletcher "Brownie" Hill were married June 29, 1968, at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death March 8, 2002.

She graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School.

She was a member of First Church of God in Cape Girardeau and Life Quest Church in Springfield.

Survivors include her six nieces, Esther (Craig) Danzer, Janet (Arnold) Lopez, Sherril Hill, Shari (Paul) Guard, Connie (Don) Meyers and Teresa (Mike) Baker; four nephews, Bob (Sandy) Hill, Allen Wehrheim, Ernest Wehrheim and John Wehrheim; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Peggy) Hill and Norman Hoover; and several great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Roger (Doris) Wehrheim; and sister-in-law, Allie Hoover.

Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Ramsey officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. June 5 at Life Quest Church, 720 E. Norton Road in Springfield.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
