LUCILLE HERTEL

SCOTT CITY -- Lucille Ellen Hertel, 77, of Scott City, died Monday, June 17, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 1, 1919, in Advance, daughter of William A. and Hattie Harmon Sledge. She and Loraine A. Hertel were married Aug. 31, 1942. He died Feb. 13, 1989.

Hertel was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Gary Hertel of Alexandria, Va.; a stepson, Loraine Hertel Jr. of Forsyth; a stepdaughter, Helen Larson of Clear Lake, Iowa; a brother, Ross Harmon of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Thelma Moore of Kelso, Anna Sledge of Cape Girardeau, and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim King officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
