MOUNDS, Ill. -- Lucille R. Hatch, 98, of Mounds died Monday, April 9, 2001, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.

She was born Jan. 29, 1903, in McCracken County, Ky., daughter of John Linford and Lula Terry Rudd. She married Benjamin Hatch, who died April 9, 1976.

Hatch was a buyer several years for Blum's Department Store of Cairo and Mounds. She was a member of the Congregational Church and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a niece, Evelyn Yandell of Mounds, and a nephew, Clyde Elrod of Kevil, Ky.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds from 4-7 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. F. Jerry Herring officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
