Lucille Griffard

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lucille M. Cisi Griffard, 92, of Perryville died Friday, May 14, 2004, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 1, 1912, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Vincent and Rosella Gibbar Mattingly. She married Raymond Gisi; he died Oct. 3, 1974. She later married David Griffard on Jan. 7, 1989.

Griffard worked in the dietary department at Perry County Memorial Hospital; she also worked at Sunrise Nursing Home as a nurse's aide. Giffard was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Ladies of Charity.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Raymond Gisi of Maryland Heights, Mo., Glennon Gisi of St. Charles, Mo., a daughter, Shirley Unterreiner of Maryland Heights, Mo.; a sister, Mary Mattingly of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Elvin Mattingly of Cape Girardeau, Bertrand Mattingly of Brewer, Mo., Cullen Mattingly of St. Mary, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, with parish prayers at 5 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. Tuesday; the rosary will be at 8 a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St.Vincent de Paul Church, with Rev. Kevin P. Fausz officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
