SIKESTON -- Graveside service for Lucille Smith Ford of Sikeston will be held at 11 a.m. today at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery in East Prairie. Pastor Larry Smith will officiate.
Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
Ford, 77, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center, following an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 8, 1920, at Dorena, daughter of Aaron and Pearl James. She first married Orville Smith, who preceded her in death. She later married Orval Ford, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Chester Smith of East Prairie, Jim Smith of Blodgett; a daughter, Janet Chandler of Texarkana, Ark.; a stepson, Orval Ford of Puxico; a stepdaughter, Connie McAdoo of Maryville, Ind.; two sisters, Opal Reynolds of St. Louis, Ruth Barnes of New Madrid; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
