CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Lucille Grider DeLine, 86, of Charleston died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 13, 1918, in the Thompson Bend Community of Mississippi County, daughter of John S. and Sallie G. Graham Grider. She and Earl Madison DeLine were married March 18, 1949. He preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1990.
Mrs. DeLine lived in Charleston most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church and served as a Sunday school teacher many years in the 2-year-old department. She was also a member of Kingshighway Chapter of National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn DeLine of Charleston; a brother, James Grider of Rogers, Ark.; a sister, Claribel "Susie" Speroff of Kokomo, Ind.; three grandchildren, Amy Short, Andrew Short and Matthew Short, all of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy DeLine Short; four brothers, Albert Grider, Carl Grider, Roy Grider and Bill Grider; two sisters, Pauline Grider and Kathryn Grider.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Keith Huffman, interim pastor of First Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Smith DeLine, Bill DeLine, Ray Presson, Roy Presson, Lytle "Pete" Bingham and Tom Graham.
