Lucille Beatrice Carter, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Lilbourn, Mo., to John D. and Hester French Ivie.
She and Paul D. Carter were married March 1, 1936, in Risco, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1981.
She had been a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Reid of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Mildred (Pat) Humphreys of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Paul Carter, Kelly Reid, Marla Bowers, Joyce Baker; nine great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Johnnie Carter; a brother, Raymond Ivie; a sister, Maxine Ivie; and a great-great-granddaughter, Abigail Clary Price.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimers Association.
