BELL CITY -- Funeral service for Lucille Austin of Bell City will be held at 1 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Revs. Ed Pangburn and Doyle Burke will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.

Austin, 76, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born July 19, 1918, in Formosa, Ark., daughter of Isom and Dealie Morrow Heigle. She and Ferrel Austin were married Nov. 7, 1936, in Atkins, Ark.

Austin was a beautician and had owned and operated Lucille's Beauty Shop in Bernie 20 years. She was a member and past worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star in Bernie, and member of Hooe Missionary Baptist Church at Oran.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Ferrel Austin of Bell City; a daughter, Sandy Todt of Sikeston; four brothers, Walter, Lloyd, Harold and Ferrel Heigle of Mayersville, Miss.; five sisters, Opal Aston of Fairfield, Calif., Hazel Boyle and Lois McKuin of Bernie, Marvelle Brister of Wisner, La., Imogene Stroud of Forrest Hills, La.; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
