PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lucie Rozier Franklin, 98, of Perryville died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born Sept. 10, 1911, in Claryville, Mo., daughter of the late Benjamin David and Corine Gertrude Picou Rozier. She was married Dec. 6, 1934, to Vail L. Franklin. He preceded her in death June 8, 1989.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Jane Corine Johnson of Wentzville, Mo., Linda Louise and Robert Hargrove of Chesterfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She worked in the packaging department at Famous-Barr in St. Louis. She was of the Catholic belief.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Benjamin Wilson Rozier; and three sisters, Emelie Sterling, Virginia Lalumondiere, Margie Asbury; and a son-in-law, Joseph Johnson.
Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri or the charity of choice.
Friends may call from noon to service time Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
