DEXTER -- Loyd Glendale Dillworth, 77, died Monday, March 16, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 7, 1920, at Gray Ridge, son of Earl and Eunice Barfield Dillworth. He and Irene Tyson were married Oct. 28, 1939.
Dillworth was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter. He had served as a deacon at Southside Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a dairy farmer and had worked in construction as a pipe fitter. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Buchanan and Brenda Tucker, both of Dexter, and Sherry Ford of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Jean Ann Burnett of Dexter; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Bob Wiggins officiating.
Burial will be in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
