WHITEWATER -- Lowell "Toby" Reynolds, 70, of Whitewater Route 1, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Jan. 26, 1921 at Marble Hill, son of Harry and Betty Allen Reynolds.

He married the former Violet Schreiner on Sept. 1, 1940. She survives of the home.

He served in the Army from 1944 to 1946. He was an owner and manager of the Reynolds and Schreiner Welding and Repair Shop of Jackson, from 1946 to 1953.

He worked for the Missouri Dry Dock and Repair Co. from 1955 until he retired in 1986. He moved from Jackson to the Whitewater area in 1973.

He was a member of the Excelsior Lodge in Jackson, the Scottish Rite where he was a 32nd degree member; the Shriners, the Capaha Shrine Club, the Eastern Star in Jackson where he was a past patron; and the American Legion. He was a member of New McKendree Methodist Church in Jackson for the past 30 years.

Besides his wife, survivors include one daughter, Carol Morton of Kampsville, Ill.; a brother, Clyde Reynolds of Jackson; three sisters, Lelia and Opal Seabaugh, both of Jackson, and Melba Zimmerman of St. Louis; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

One brother preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. There will be a Masonic service at 7:30 Monday night at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at McCombs Funeral Home with the Rev. Otto Steinhaus and the Rev. Nancy Woods officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
