MATTHEWS -- Lounell Myrick, 83, of Matthews died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Sept. 4, 1914, in Bay, Ark., daughter of Herbert and Pearl DeWitt Riley. She and Raymond H. Myrick were married Oct. 15, 1932.
Myrick had worked in the deli at the IGA Foodliner in Sikeston, and at Knight's Department Store in Sikeston. She was a member of Big Ridge General Baptist Church in Matthews.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Coy Myrick of Las Vegas, Nev., Arnold Myrick of Sikeston; three daughters, Joyce Durbin of Piedmont, Peggy Schuerenberg of Matthews, Karen Rhoda of Swansea, Ill.; a brother, Joe Riley of Cahokia, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
