LOUISE RUBEL

Louise Rubel, 76, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Feb. 21, 1920, at Oran, daughter of Harris and Daisy Lee Hooe Bizzell. She and Dan Rubel were married April 22, 1939, in Farmington. He died Feb. 28, 1990.

Rubel had worked at Florsheim Shoe Co., owned and operated Rubel Grocery Store from 1947-58, was a clerk in the shoe department at Buckner-Ragsdale more than 20 years, and had owned and managed Keystone Apartments. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Oran.

She was a graduate of Oran High School, and a graduate of a business college in Paducah, Ky.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda James of Cape Girardeau; a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
