CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Louise Dismore Roberts, 81, formerly of Mississippi County, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Gainesville, Mo.
She was born Dec. 28, 1920, in Oakton, Ky., daughter of Lonnie Vester Vinson and Maggie Nolen Vinson. She lived in Mississippi County most of her life, moving to Gainesville in 1996.
She was employed with Consolidate Metals of St. Louis until her retirement. She was of the Methodist faith.
She first married Herman I. Dismore. He survives, in Chicago Heights, Ill. She later married Ellery Roberts. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Charles Dismore of Riverdale, Ill; daughters, Alice Hayden Stroup of Minneapolis, Minn., Mae Rapka of Mission Viego, Calif., Betty Smith of Downiesville, Calif., Martina Smith of Gainesville, Mo., Sharon Blackburn of Gainesville, and Patsy Gagnon of Grassvalley, Calif.; a brother, Roy Green of Wyatt, Mo.; a sister, Delores Barnhill Summers of Wyatt; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were two grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston with the Rev. Bill Meeks, pastor of the First General Baptist Church of Charleston, officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m.. Monday at the funeral home.
