CAIRO, Ill. -- Louise M. Presson, 76, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., formerly of Cairo, died Friday, July 26, 2011, at Gulf Breeze Hospital.
She was born June 3, 1935, in Cairo, the daughter of the late Aaron and Bertha Marrs Grigsby. She was married to Jim Presson, and taught in the Lebanon public schools in Lebanon, Ill. She also taught for ten years in the Gulf Breeze public schools.
Mrs. Presson was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, and was a graduate of St. Louis University in St. Louis.
Mrs. Presson is survived by her husband, Jim Presson, of Gulf Breeze; four sons, Stephen Presson of Gulf Breeze, Stan and wife Betsy Presson of Columbia, Ill., Stuart and wife Anne Presson of Petaluma, Calif., and Stirling Presson of Columbia; two sisters, Marilyn Purvis of Barlow, Ky., and Sandra Dunham of Norborne, Mo.; one brother, Charles Grigsby of Tamms, Ill.; five grandchildren, Erin, Daniel, Andrew, Savannah, Matt; other relatives; and many friends.
Visitation is at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until time for services Tuesday.
Funeral services for Mrs. Presson will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Cairo, with the Rev. Tony Schaeffer officiating. Interment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds, Ill.
