INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Louise J. Payton, 76, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at her daughter's home in Indianapolis. She was born in Cape Girardeau and moved to Fort Wayne, Ind., in 1952.
She married Andrew Payton. He preceded her in death.
She was a longtime home child-care provider and member of Church of the Harvest.
She is survived by three sons, Nathaniel banks of Fort Wayne, Ind., Herbert Banks of Fort Wayne and Mark Payton of Bolingbrook, Ill.; two daughters, Beverly Banks and Andrea Farrie, both of Indianapolis; two adopted children, Janie "Margie" Flowers of St. Louis and Galen Bailey of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brothers, Loren "Jack" Cato of Sacramento, Calif., William Cato of Philadelphia, Penn., and James Cato of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Anita Estes of Cape Girardeau and Thelma Cato of Atlanta, Ga.; and 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Harvest in Fort Wayne.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Arrangements are by Carmichael Funeral Services.
