Louise Moreton WYATT, Mo. -- Lois Louise Kunz Moreton, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008 at her home in Wyatt. WYATT, Mo. -- Lois Louise Kunz Moreton, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008 at her home in Wyatt.

She was born Oct. 9, 1916, in Wyatt, daughter to the late Charles Anthony and Anna Lee Hutcheson Kunz.

She lived her entire life in the community of Wyatt, where she was a life member of Wyatt United Methodist Church until its closing, and then moved her membership to Charleston United Methodist Church. She served the Wyatt United Methodist Church as lay leader and speaker, treasurer, trustee and as a Sunday school teacher for young children more than 60 years.

Moreton was owner and operator of Economy Oil Co. until her retirement. Upon retirement she became a certified ombudsman for Mississippi County's nursing homes and served in that position until 2004.

On July 3, 1945, she married Allen R. Moreton. He preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1973.

She is survived by nephews Dr. M.A. Shively and wife Lucy of Watersmeet, Mich., Moreton Lee Shively and wife Wanda of Marion, Ill., Glenn M. Hillhouse Jr. and wife Myra of Charleston, Richard Shively of Marion; nieces, Pat F. Hillhouse and husband John Finney of Nashville, Tenn., Marilyn J. Hillhouse of Cape Girardeau, Margaret H. Dean and husband Daniel Dean of Memphis, Tenn.

Two sisters, Marion Kunz Shively of Marion and Charlene Kunz Hillhouse of Charleston, preceded her in death.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dan Faust, pastor of Charleston United Methodist Church, officiating.

Pallbearers will be great-nephews Benjamin Hillhouse, Clayton Hillhouse, Christopher Layton, David Finney, Daniel Finney and a cousin, Richard Hutcheson.
