CHAFFEE, Mo. — Louise Kielhofner-Scheeter, 81 of Chaffee left this earthly world to join the heavenly Father Wednesday morning, July 2, 2008.
She was born April 2, 1927, in Alton, Mo., daughter of Ray and Delia Barton Johnson. She and James Kielhofner were married Feb. 7, 1948, at Guardian Angel Church. He preceded her in death Nov. 25, 1954. She married Dick Scheeter July 5, 1997. He preceded her in death Oct. 20, 2006.
Louise was a dental assistant for Dr. B.T. Moudy over 14 years, and was owner and operator of Heaven Scent Fabrics in Chaffee for over 14 years.
She was an active member of the Chamber of Commerce in Chaffee and held several offices and chairmanships. She was president and Woman of the Year of Business and Professional Members Organization, member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Daughters of St. Ambrose, and St. Ann's in Oran, Mo.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Grooms of Morley, Mo.; a granddaughter, Cynthia (Jeff) Reese and great-granddaughter, Katrina Trentham of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Ruth Crews of Koshkonong, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.
Louise lived a full and happy life and will always be remembered for her love of God, family and friends.
Friends may call after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Guardian Angel Church. The rosary will be at 9 a.m. at the church.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery at Oran.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
