Louise S. Kerr, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 20, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 23, 1911, in Birds, Ill., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Stevens. She and Marvin C. Kerr were married Sept. 15, 1954, in Illmo.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Decatur, Ill., the Eastern Star and three bridge clubs.
She had worked as a bookkeeper in Pine Bluff, Ark., was the chief operator at Fornfelt Telephone Co. many years and then transferred to another Bell Telephone company in Decatur, where she was a supervisor. She retired in 1966.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Orville Kerr of Mount Vernon, Ill.; a daughter, Virginia West of Arthur, Ill.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Todd Greer officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
