SIKESTON -- Louise Groves, 86, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 1994, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews. She was born July 18, 1908, in Sikeston, daughter of William Henry and Jennie Marshall Stubblefield. She and Henry Leon Groves were married Aug. 16, 1929. He died Oct. 11, 1979...

SIKESTON -- Louise Groves, 86, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 1994, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.

She was born July 18, 1908, in Sikeston, daughter of William Henry and Jennie Marshall Stubblefield. She and Henry Leon Groves were married Aug. 16, 1929. He died Oct. 11, 1979.

Groves worked at the Elite Shop more than 20 years, and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Leon Groves Jr. of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Carolyn Rannells of Dexter; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside rites will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Sikeston City Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles E. Buck officiating.

Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
