DUQUOIN Ill. Louise Fern Rushing, 70, of DuQuoin, died Saturday, April 20, 1991, at her home.

She was born July 19, 1920, in Oak Wood, Ill., to the late William and Irene Miller Sapp.

She was a retired sales clerk at Freedmam's clothing in Duquoin and a member of the First Baptist Church in DuQuoin.

She was also a member of the Euzelian Sunday school class, the Valerie Sheppard Mission Group, DuQuoin Study Club, and the Order of Eastern Star.

She was married to Sidney M. Rushing on Sept. 14, 1938, in Bardwell, Ky. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1985.

Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Stovall of Jackson; one brother, Bill Sapp of Springfield, Ill, and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call today from 6-9 p.m. at the Neal Memorial Chapel in Duquoin. Service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the chapel with the Rev. Bill C. Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
