WILSON CITY -- Louise E. Brown, 83, of Wilson City died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Miner Nursing Center. She was born Oct. 10, 1915, at Thompson Bend, daughter of Ellis and Louise Gilmore Rush. She was married to Elliott Brown for more than 50 years. He died Nov. 23, 1987...

WILSON CITY -- Louise E. Brown, 83, of Wilson City died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 10, 1915, at Thompson Bend, daughter of Ellis and Louise Gilmore Rush.

She was married to Elliott Brown for more than 50 years. He died Nov. 23, 1987.

She had served as superintendent of the Thompson Bend Elementary School and was a member of Church of God in Christ.

Survivors include a brother, Carletas Rush of Fort Wayne, Ind., and two sisters, Virginia Hall of Fort Wayne and Virgie M. Trammell of Roanoke, Ala.

Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston.

Funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Opportunity Church of God in Christ with Steve Betts officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
