Louis Edward Wright, 83, of Scott City died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born June 29, 1922, at Commerce, Mo., son of Willie L. and Gladys Short Wright. He and Dorothy Sprenger were married June 29, 1946, at Illmo.
Wright was a World War II Army veteran who served in the South Pacific. He was employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in construction.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Margaret Parker of Pine Bluff, Ark., Linda Rogers of Scott City; a son, Rodney Wright of Jefferson City, Mo.; a sister, Betty Morris of Berwick, La.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Azinger officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
