LAKE ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Louis G. Seiler, 82, of Lake St. Louis died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis.
He was born Nov. 3, 1926, in Bollinger County, Mo., son of Benard and Mary Brauer Seiler. He married Mollie E. Scott.
Seiler was a farmer and business owner. He was a member of Boilermakers Local 27. He was formerly of Bollinger County.
He served in the Merchant Marines.
Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Linda Daugherty of St. Clair, Mo., Brenda Otts of St. Ann, Mo., Karon Moss and Diana Metheny of O'Fallon, Mo., Mary Loyd of St. Louis; a son, Louis Seiler Jr. of Lonedell, Mo.; two sisters, Dorothy Reprogle of Berkeley, Mo., Wilma Browning of Chesterfield, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Stygar Mid Rivers Funeral Home in St. Charles, Mo.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chapel of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church-Dardenne in O'Fallon.
