CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Louis Scott of Charleston will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Church of Deliverance. Bishop James Whitfield will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home Friday from 7-8 p.m.
Scott, 87, died Friday, May 7, 1993, at Charleston Manor.
He was born Oct. 3, 1905, at Charleston, son of Alex and Tina Steward Scott. Scott was a retired farmer. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church and served on the Deacon and Trustee Boards.
Survivors include his wife, Flora; a daughter, Elsie Reddin of Detroit, Mich.; four brothers, Clarence, Freddie and Robert Scott of Charleston, Jimmy Scott of Marion, Ark.; two sisters, Roberta Coleman of Charleston, Pearl Newsom of Chicago; four stepsons, Ernest and Percy Ivy of Charleston, John Ivy of Chicago, Ervin Ivy of Hopkins Park, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Thelma Offord of Charleston; a number of stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.
