LOUIS SCHMITT JR.

CHAFFEE -- Funeral for Louis L. Schmitt Jr. of Chaffee will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg. The Rev. Ralph Duffner will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. Sunday. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Schmitt, 53, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at his home.

He was born June 10, 1946, at Chaffee, son of Louie L. and Ursaline Glueck Schmitt. He and JoAnn Clifton were married April 1, 1967.

Schmitt was a former dock hand with Smith Transfer Co. in St. Louis. He was a member of St. Lawrence Church and its Men's Club.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeff and Tim Schmitt of Chaffee; his father of Chaffee; two sisters, Mary Enderle and Alma Rogers of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
