LOUIS M. RINEY

PERRYVILLE -- Louis Murphy Riney, 87, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1992, at Perry County Hospital.

He was born April 8, 1904, in Perry County, son of Varice and Lena Layton Riney. He first married Marie E. Thompson, who died Nov. 4, 1947. He later married Frances Merkert May 25, 1950.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Melvin Riney of Jackson, Kenneth and Marvin Riney of Perryville; a daughter, Verna Renicke of Brooksville, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Mildred Stopke of St. Louis; two brothers, Alois Riney of Perryville, Richard Riney of Quincy, Ill.; a sister, Elsie Baudendistel of Perryville; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren, and six great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lithium Catholic Church. The Rev. Felipe Martinez will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today. A parish wake service will be held at 8.
