Louis C. Myers of Cape Girardeau and formerly of St. Mary died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at the Lutheran Home of Cape Girardeau. He was 79.
He was born Nov. 20, 1918, at St. Mary, son of Clarence and Blanche Brown Myers. He married Idabelle Thomas Feb. 9, 1948, in St. Mary. She survives.
He was a caterer and member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
Also surviving are four sons, Frederick Myers of Mobile, Ala., Robert Myers of Perryville, Thomas Myers of Northridge, Calif., and Clarence Myers of Festus; two daughters, Linda Jensen of Schererville, Ind., and Brenda Curry of Lenexa, Kan.; four brothers, Arthur Myers of Ste. Genevieve, Patrick and Joe Myers, both of Tampa, Fla., and Michael Myers of Zephyerhills, Fla; five sisters, Zita Stein, Thereasa Gurka and Margaret Mohar, all of Tampa, Dolores Potenza of Burbank, Calif., and Rose Kovak of Zephyerhills; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Monday at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church in St. Mary, with the Rev. Richard Kasznel officiating.
Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in St. Mary.
