Louis Henry "Buck" Petitt, 79, of 611 S. West End Blvd. died Sunday, April 26, 1992 at his home.
He was born March 24, 1913 in Thebes, Ill. son of William Thomas and Ora Rendleman Eads Petitt.
He married Sylvia Estes Wise on April 9, 1989. She survives.
He was a railroad switchman and a member of the United Transportation Union Local No. 0469.
Other survivors are two sons, Louis Petitt of Cape Girardeau and Jack Petitt of Granite City, Ill.; one daughter, Greta Petitt of Granite City; one step-daughter, Diane Miller of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Stella Mirgeaux of Cahokia, Ill. and Lucille McCulley of Scott City; two grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. to- day at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the chapel with the Rev. Vester Keesee officiating. Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
