THEBES, Ill. -- Lorraine Poole, 89, of Thebes died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 17, 1920, in Thebes, daughter of George Lee and Flora Jackson Mansfield. She and George Edward Poole were married April 15, 1939. He died Dec. 8, 1996...

THEBES, Ill. -- Lorraine Poole, 89, of Thebes died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 17, 1920, in Thebes, daughter of George Lee and Flora Jackson Mansfield. She and George Edward Poole were married April 15, 1939. He died Dec. 8, 1996.

Poole was a member of First Baptist Church in Thebes.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra "Sandy" Bedwell of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Dale Poole of Thebes, Dennis Poole of Patton, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Private funeral service was held Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating.
