Lorraine M. Maddox, 89, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Cairo, Ill., died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Oct. 9, 1916, in Hickman, Ky., daughter of James S. and Phoebe Lewis Barkett. She married John Maddox.
Maddox formerly owned Lewis Infant Apparel in Cairo.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cairo.
Survivors include two nieces, Patricia Blevins of Brentwood, Tenn., Mary Lou Bilger of Germantown, Tenn.; four nephews, Fred Elias of Cape Girardeau, Phillip and Dr. Kenneth Barkett of Sikeston, Mo., and Richard Barkett of Seattle, Wash.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. Larry Potts officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds, Ill.
