TAMMS, Ill. -- Lorn R. "Pod" Honey, 74, of Tamms died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Dec. 19, 1925, at Diswood, son of Harry and Nellie Cox Honey.
He was a farmer and owner of Lorn Honey Trucking at Tamms before his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Honey of Tamms; three sons, Lorn R. Honey of Paducah, Ky., Donald Dean Honey of Thebes and Kenneth Honey of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Revs. Jimmie Monahan and Edward Crite will officiate, with burial to follow at the McCrite Cemetery near Tamms.
