FROHNA -- Lori L. Steffens, 54, of Frohna died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016.

She was born May 23, 1962, in St. Louis, daughter of Eugene and Gladys (Meinz) Engert-Weber. She and Daniel Steffens were married June 21, 1980. He survives in Frohna.

She was employed as a housekeeper. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, Missouri, and served as a youth leader. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time outdoors. She will be remembered as a kind and generous person, as she was always there for people in their time of need.

Other survivors include two daughters, Jessalyn (Aaron) Dippold of St. Louis and Julia (Derek) Miesner of Frohna; a brother, Kenny Engert of Frohna; three sisters, Brenda Engert of Center, Missouri, Kim (Rick) Scholl of Altenburg and Lisa (Scott) Howe of Oak Ridge; and three grandchildren, Henry and Jane Dippold and Raelyn Miesner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a stepfather, Elton Weber; and a son, Zachary Steffens.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg. The gathering will continue from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Officiating will be the Rev. Frank Lucas. A private burial for the family will be held at a later date.

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg or Saxony Lutheran High School.
