Loretta Fay Mize, 69, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at her home.
She was born Jan. 27, 1940, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., daughter of Bert and Ruth Briscoe. She married James Clyde Mize on July 5, 1955, in Poplar Bluff.
She was a member of Fruitland Community Church. She retired from National Foods where she worked in both Cape Girardeau and St. Louis for 25 years.
Survivors include her husband, James Clyde Mize of Cape Girardeau; a son, Steve (Sandy) Mize of Jackson; two daughters, Linda (Bobby) Miller of Jackson and Anita Mize of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Jenny Briscoe of Cape Girardeau and Mary Blagg of Harviell, Mo.; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-stepgrandchild.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Parry officiating. Entombment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
