Loretta V. Kuntze, 72, of Gordonville passed away Monday, May 16, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 27, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Clarence and Aline Evans Lange. She and Larry Kuntze were married April 21, 1963, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit.
Loretta was a 1961 graduate of Jackson High School and a 1962 graduate of the former Jackson Beauty School.
She owned and operated Lora-Don Beauty Shop in uptown Jackson for 52 years and for the past 18 years also worked at Saint Francis Medical Center as a part-time transporter.
She was a Past Worthy Matron in the Jackson Eastern Star Chapter 91 and a past district deputy.
For many years, Loretta served families by styling hair at McCombs Funeral Home.
She was a member of Connection Point Church in Jackson.
In addition to Larry, her husband of 53 years, loving survivors include a son, Jared (Diane) Kuntze of Denver, Colorado; a daughter, Pam (Bradley) Eggimann of Lynn Haven, Florida; two brothers, Randy (Ann) Lange of Millersville and Steve Lange of Jackson; two grandchildren, Malinda and Matthew Eggimann of Lynn Haven, Florida; a niece; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Grant Gillard officiating.
Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
The family suggests that contributions be made to Connection Point Church.
