ANNA, Ill. -- Loretta Clayton Harris, 68, of Anna died Saturday, July 18, 1998, at Jonesboro Health Care. She was born Dec. 22, 1929, in Union County, daughter of William Everett and Pearl Smith Clayton. She married Dennis Junior Harris Aug. 13, 1949, in Piggott, Ark. He died May 15, 1998...

ANNA, Ill. -- Loretta Clayton Harris, 68, of Anna died Saturday, July 18, 1998, at Jonesboro Health Care.

She was born Dec. 22, 1929, in Union County, daughter of William Everett and Pearl Smith Clayton.

She married Dennis Junior Harris Aug. 13, 1949, in Piggott, Ark. He died May 15, 1998.

She is survived by five sisters, Viola Hankla and Louise Smith Pender, both of Anna, Geraldine Elkins of Cobden, Vurtis Duckworth of Perks and Carolyn Bird of Jonesboro; two brothers, Dennis Clayton of Chicago Ridge and Jerrie Clayton of Anna.

A son preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Saratoga Methodist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Anna VFW and the Anna Moose Lodge.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Joe Hankla officiating. Burial will be in the Kelley Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
