Loretta J. Going, 63, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center, after an extended illness.
She was born April 22, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, to Nelson H. and L. Vernell Haertling Steiner. She and Chester Going were married May 27, 1983.
Loretta attended St. Paul Lutheran School in Jackson and graduated from Jackson High School. She worked in the obstetrics department at Southeast Hospital 25 years, later at Star Communications, and most recently at McCombs Funeral Home. She sold Avon products more than 30 years.
Loving survivors include her husband of 31 years, Chet; a daughter, Kimberly (Jimmy) Perez and their son Quincy of Orlando, Florida; five other grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Vernell Steiner of Jackson; a brother, Virgil Steiner of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Shirley (Bob) Aufdenberg of Jackson; a niece, Cathy Reiminger of Jackson; and two nephews, Scott and Brian Aufdenberg of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her father and a stepson, Eric Going.
Cremation was accorded by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
There will be no service.
