THEBES, Ill. -- Loretta Burns, 60, of Thebes died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
She was born July 8, 1939, in Elco, daughter of Ray and Mary Poole Shelton. She married Bobby J. Burns.
Burns was a member of Alexander Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Bobbie Burns of Carbondale, Sheila Terbrak of Joppa; two sons, Paul Wood of Carterville, Tony Wood of Dongola; two stepdaughters, Wendy Vaughn of Madison, Amanda Roy of Eaglesham, Scotland; a stepson, James Burns of Columbia, Ill.; two sisters, Margaret Whybark and May Shelton of East Prairie, Mo.; a brother, Clinton Shelton of Jonesboro; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Alexander Free Will Church, with the Rev. Ernest Brown officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
