PERRYVILLE -- Funeral Mass for Lorene E. Kiefer of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. The Rev. Alphonse Hoernig will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 6:30-10:40 a.m.

Kiefer, 79, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 15, 1918, in Perry County, daughter of Albert J. and Edith Schilling Favier. She and Leo V. Kiefer were married June 25, 1938. He died Feb. 13, 1983.

Kiefer was a member of St. Vincent's Church.

Survivors include six sons, Dale Kiefer of Allenhurst, Ga., Andy Kiefer of St. Louis, James, Larry, Bill and Dan Kiefer, all of Perryville; six daughters, Joyce Hayes of Bryan, Texas, Leola Hayes of House Springs, Evelyn Brewster and Glenda Schumer of St. Marys, Linda Hoff and Mary Abernathy of Perryville.

Also surviving is a brother, Glenn Favier of Perryville; a sister, Ida Broeker of Perryville; 36 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son.
