LORENE JONES

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Lorene R. Jones, 68, of East Prairie died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born May 8, 1932, at Aquilla, Mo., daughter of Robert Owens and Mary Ethel Henson Calvin. She and Arnold Jones were married Sept. 13, 1973.

Jones had lived in East Prairie since 1989, and was a member of Harvest Time Apostolic Church. She was formerly of Charleston, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Daniel Bailey of Oak Ridge, N.C.; a daughter, Kathy Kerley of Golconda, Ill.; a brother, Paul McDowell of Galion, Ohio; three sisters, Willia Link of Aquilla, Delphia Ivy of Woodlawn, Ill., Clorene Glass of Dexter, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with J.S. Kimbro officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
