JACKSON, Mo. -- Lorene O. Crites, 87, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home.
She was born June 24, 1914, at Farmington, Mo., daughter of Oscar and Bertha Wood Rion. She and Elmer Crites were married Dec. 29, 1934. He died April 7, 1993.
Crites worked at the former International Shoe Factory in Jackson until 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson and its Mary-Martha Circle.
Survivors include a son, Cletus Crites of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Irene Menge of St. Charles, Mo., and Juanita Westrich and Wilma Brugger, both of Jackson; a brother, Ivan Rion of Hendersonville, Tenn.; two sisters, Edith Rion of Hendersonville and Martha Kennon of Farmington; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery. Dr. Brian Anderson will officiate.
