CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Lorene Alcoke, 85, of Auburn, Ind., died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at Miller's Merry Manor in Garrett, Ind.
She was born July 31, 1915, at Clarence, Mo., daughter of Weaver Shanon and Lottie Edith Williams Asmussen. She and Dareld Everett Alcoke were married Oct. 21, 1934. He died Dec. 29, 1988.
Alcoke retired from the packing department at Florsheim Shoe Co. She was a member of Chaffee First Baptist Church, Cape Girardeau County Chapter DAV Auxiliary, and Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3127.
Survivors include a sister, Bettie Curtiss of Auburn.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 1 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Watis Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
